Tube amp specialist

My first exposure with tube circuits was in my Navy electronics school at a time when tubes were still used extensively. Yeah, a LONG time ago. I’ve worked on tube based amplifiers, etc as a hobby throughout my career as an Electrical Engineer up to my recent retirement.

Broad repair/modification for most musical equipment

There’s pretty much nothing musically related I can’t work on. I fixed a bagpipe once. And I’m happy to do so. THAT SAID there are things that I prefer not to work on. #1 on the list is pedals. The problem with pedals is their cost. Even at our VERY reasonable hourly rates it is next to impossible to repair a pedal for less than it costs unless it is a rare or expensive one.

Keyboard repair

It can be difficult to find someone that will look at keyboards and for a good reason. They are quite complex electronically and simply eat time. It’s hard to make minimum wage on them.

That said, I like keyboards and enjoy working on them. And I wont kill you on the final bill.

Mountain Home support

I work out of 2 shops. One is in the MARC in Boise at 611 N Orchard St. I live south of Mountain Home and also work out of my home shop. Therefore I can pick up and deliver to Mountain Home. This is a free service. Unless you want to throw in a taco. I like taco’s.
